On arrival, Uju dialled Bolaji who directed her to the VIP where he was seated. The music was electrifying. They had a special appearance by one of naija’s finest. Yes Davido was in the house. Walking through the crowd , Feyi observed the club crooners as they called upon her like she was a call girl. ( in this text, crooners are the guys in the club who appear all swagged up, usually very good looking with no penny to their name. You can usually find them in front of the speakers by the corner with one red label to 20 men. ) All na wash, she rolled her eyes and walked up the stairs to the VIP area. A young bearded man walked up to them and hugged Uju, then hugged her. Bolaji was very pleased with what he was seeing as Feyi was endowed with desirable physical attributes, with most of her endowment concentrated at her rear.

While seated, Uju asked for a Martini and cranberry juice for insurance. After getting a bit tipsy, she took to her feet and the music took over. Much later Feyi joined her after her chat with Bolaji. The ambiance in the club was reverberating, it was a good night to club. I’m going to the convenience said Uju. Wait I’m coming with you said Feyi leaving Bolaji alone at the table. In the restroom, Uju said to Feyi, just five seconds after he saw you and you’re already doing wonders with this your bum bum. Lol, Feyi replied, that’s how we role, twerking her backside.( Feyi is the lively type, always knows what to do and say to make people happy) . They returned to Bolaji’s table. It was 3:30 AM and Bolaji was ready to go, Uju had one more glass of her Martini and they went outside. Bolaji asked Feyi to accompany him home which she immediately refused, but Uju convinced her it was ok to go with Bolaji after much razzmatazz. I am not doing anything oh, she said loudly squinting her eyes at Uju. Bolaji called a Uber to take Uju home while he and Feyi entered into his luxurious SUV. While seated, Feyi asked Bolaji for his phone so she could play songs through his auxiliary. You listen to my kind of songs said Feyi to Bolaji. Well I will take that as a compliment and say thank you, replied Bolaji smiling. You are welcome continued Feyi smiling. Maybe this dude is not so bad after all. She felt relaxed and calm, Bolaji seemed like a cool head, as she analyze his every move. We are here said Bolaji. He pulled up at 1004 and rushed to open the door for Feyi. She slowly began to like Bolaji. They got inside Bolaji’s apartment. She got comfortable and took her shoes off. You have a nice place said Feyi, thank you replied Bolaji, you’re quite complementing he replied. Would you care for anything ? He asked Feyi. Water would do, Feyi replied. Bolaji went to the kitchen and got a glass of water for Feyi. They both sat on the couch and got talking. Feyi was engrossed in the conversation, but could not keep her consciousness. Bolaji excused himself and returned shortly with 2 other male counterparts. What’s going on Bolaji? She asked in a drowsy tune. You didn’t say you had roommates. He didn’t respond. Bolaji with his cohorts surrounded Feyi. Feyi at the brink of loosing all consciousness begged Bolaji not to allow this. But all three men unbuckled their belts and pounce on her like a pack of hyenas. They undressed her, one started to fondle her breast, while the other got busy with her. She looked up hopelessly, asking herself, Feyi what are you doing here? They took turns on her. damn. They ravaged her like hungry lions.

She slowly pleaded with Bolaji, the guy she just met a few hours ago, who is now taking advantage of her with 2 strange men, but he was engrossed in his abominable desire. They took her for a piece of meat, they went on, time after time after time. At 6 AM, Bolaji dressed her up and took her down stairs to his car unconscious. He would tell people she had too much to drink and passed out when they showed concern, it was a Friday night and those sightings are usually normal. He had planned the whole night with Uju, who was jealous of Feyi’s physical beauty, had said much earlier. “She always gets the boys attention and feels like she’s better than everyone else. She should be taught a lesson”. It had all been a trap. Bolaji put her in his car and drove to an isolated area, where he dropped her by a dump and speedily drove off.

Phone rings*

Hello, am I on to Mr Cokker?

Yes this is Mr Cokker on the line.

Sir, your daughter Feyintayo Cokker was rushed to the ER about an hour ago and we require your presence immediately, said the lady over the phone.

It was 7:32 AM, Mr Cokker, Feyi’s father was shocked to his bones, he got the directions, rushed out of his office, got into his car and drove fast towards the hospital he had been directed to.

Mr Cokker had a weak heart, age was not his ally and the news of his only beloved daughter in the ER, triggered an heart attack that caused a ghastly accident which claimed his life.

After a week in Coma, Feyi opened her eyes. Her mother was seated just beside her. She was asleep, she looked around for her father but he was not in sight. She sat up and tapped her mom. Mom, mom, Mrs Cokker woke up and was amazed to see Feyi conscious. She hugged Feyi passionately as the tear flowed down her cheeks to her mouth. Feyi asked where her Dad was. Mrs Cokker did not want to immediately revealed to her, the death of her father and lied that he had been with them, but was called for a case in Abuja. He will join us soon ok? Said Mrs Cokker to Feyi.

After a week, the doctors where satisfied with her response to therapy and discharged her. she chose to resume school moving forward and trying to leave the event behind her. The doctor advised her mother not press charges to prevent intensifying the psychological disorder that she’s experiencing as a result of the trauma from the unfortunately event . Feyi tried to contact her dad, but could not reach him. She was ashamed of what he would say. Little did she know. She resumed school the next week and started to attend classes again. One day, after her lectures. She heard rumors of a girl who went prostituting and killed her father with an heart attack. Word travel fast in school and she knew she was the subject of discussion. Her self esteem had diminished, but the rumor spoke of death. She had not heard from her father through the whole thing and became more cautious of the truth the rumor might bear. At this point, she walked toward the main exit of the University and boarded a taxi for home. Take me to Apapa please, she said to the taxi driver. On the way, she began to have a parade of thoughts matching pass her mind. She began to think that the worst of the worst could have happened. She continually dials her father but to no avail. Tears drips down her lids. She begins to reminisce on her life before she decided to indulge in the night life.

The A lister, with a 90% chance of succeeding in life. Her lecturers admired her zeal and wits, with a modest and moral upbringing she had no excuse for failure, but what happened? What happened to Feyi. She had given in to the pressure of social acceptance turning her into an infidel. She whispered quietly with tears running from her eyes no, no. The taxi driver looking through his rear view mirror asked if she was ok, but She would not respond. Her sorrow was beyond reasoning and she had lost connection with reality. To cut the long short story shorter, Feyi committed suicide after finding out that her mistake had taking the life of her father. You see this story came to me in the middle last night 3/6/17 at 23:11 hours and I wrote it till 4 in the morrow. Many young women are being pressured to live lives they were never cut out for. People will not necessarily accept you. Believe it baby, the people you’re working so hard to gain their acceptance actually envy something in you. Many young women today are into Feyi’s lane. It may seem as the right path in the beginning. The trips and thrills are mind blowing, yes I know. Young women are being taking advantage of because of their curiosity to be faster than time. Slow down baby. There’s no need to rush. You will in time have all the trips and the thrills the right way. The way God intended it. (sigh)

I hope this story touches many, but I will still be glad if it save just one. Many young women need to lean back and understand that their present actions bear future consequences and hopefully, will deter from immorality and vanity.

You’ve gotta understand that you’re better than that. You’re someone’s future wife, mother, boss, mentor, role model. There is so much attached to you and you owe it not just to yourself, but also to the people you have been destined to oversee, inspire and raise. You’re a mother of a generation, you’re a big deal!
