BARRISTER M.F BAKARE, MY SUCCESS-LADEN ELDER BROTHER: BY AGBAJE AYOMIDE.

FOREWORD

The writer, Agbajecity, admits that this is the longest panegyrics he has ever made. He wrote it on his elder brother’s birthday who is an eminent lawyer and at the same time a challenge and role model to the body of young legal practitioners and a YOUNG ACHIEVER that spurs others put in their bests in whatever they do. In short, he blaze the trail, while others only follow and traces his path to success.
The writer must confess, his bro was so enthralled after he read it and pass some sweet compliments to his ears. Yea! those compliments are only meant for his ears alone. Nothing else!
That very day, October 5, 2016, he thought of what could make his brother’s birthday a great and remarkable one. But since he didn’t get to make his birthday wishes the first one, he tried very hard to make his wishes so unique.
He took his pen, he began the dexterous task and off he went into the literary planet, through wild imaginative spacecraft and found himself lost in deep thoughts of the heavenly bodies looking for nice words to conjure for his bro.
At the end of everything, He chickened out something very stupendous and then posted it online.
Ladies and gentlemen, It is the writer’s heartfelt delight to recommend the panegyrics titled: “Barrister M.F Bakare, my success-laden elder brother”, to you, very warmly.
Now bring a stool and sit down, and lend your mind to it.
It chronicles the writer’s elder brother’s career life and literary prowess.
For today, he shall install himself as a raconteur to tell you about a legal icon.

Each time, albeit quite seldomly, whenever I stumble on the biographies of some Nigerian law giants like Aare Afe Babalola (SAN), Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Gani Fawehinmi (SAN) (deceased) and Femi Falana(SAN). I am always nonplussed by them because of their enviable visions, sincerity of purpose and sheer commitment to astounding successes as euphoric mood engulfs my being. Simultaneously, I feel proud as happiness, exhilaration, scintillation and unrestrained ecstasy hovered around me because I have an elder brother in this legal profession with them and who I hope someday will be greater than them.
He is man of sterling qualities, veteran jurist, with a track record of honesty, resourcefulness, generosity, courage, diligence, high sense of responsibilities and commitment with over two years of post call, with a selfless to a fault and core patriotism which all endeared him to all and sundry, therefore, making him their role models.
Let me stop here, I know I’m seriously heightening the suspense as so many are extremely curious to know this personality.
Let me clear my throat first. Whop! He is Comrade, oh no! What befitting title can I even use to qualify my bro, yes, Honourable (Barr) Bakare Mohammed Funso Esq., LL.B (Hons), BL, LL.M, LL.D, CON, OFR, SAN, popularly and fondly referred to as BMF, who hails from the Egunajes in Osogbo land (One of the famous Yoruba land). Barrister BMF happens to be the first lawyer in the entire family of respected status in the society due to his unprecedented achievement and acme in Law. Which had installed him on a pedestal of greatness. Therefore, ushering in an era of prosperity.

LEGAL CAREER
Shortly after Bro Mohammed completed his secondary school education, he began his academic conquest in legal studies and jurisprudence which he bagged a Diploma in Law and later proceeded to the famous University of Ado-Ekiti, UNAD. (The now Ekiti State University, EKSU) to major in Law, where he graduated cum laude with an honorary degree of Bachelor of Laws, LL.B in 2013. In November 2014, another feather was added to the already colourful and sparkling cap of this my ebullient brother, By the special grace of God, he was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister-at-Law, solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria after he maintained an highly exceptional performance in his bar examinations which he took at the Nigerian Law School in Bayelsa State. He went for his NYSC programme thereafter in Kwara State. My bro has worked and interned in various law firms, an exemplary is the Chief Titus Olasupo Ashaolu, SAN & Co. where he got the insight of the practical aspect of Law and accorded him a lot of experience. After which he cut his legal tooth as a litigator and conveyancer. Can you see my elder brother have had an eventful career experience? and I fervently believe that God still have greater plans for him in life, I know LL.M and LL.D are all coming on their ways and I know he will reach the zenith of Law someday. And as we all know that this achievement is not just achieved on a platter of gold and comfort, it must have being procured through hard work and constraint. I hope to witness the day he would be become the Attorney General/Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. when your bro is the “amofin agba” of Nigeria, then what next? you begin to feel on top of the world. M.F Bakare, a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria had received several accolades and variously honoured with awards and certificate of merits and various titles was conferred on him during his undergraduate days (those days of Criminal Law, Business Law, Labour Law Environmental Law and Intellectual Property) and thereafter. There is no iota of doubt that he has moved from a pedestrian level to an Olympian height.

SPECIAL FEATURE OF LITERARY SHOWPIECE
Another special feature of bro, is his literary showpiece, Yea, Quite amazing, isn’t it? this young barrister is briskly springing up like cheerful young flower bud. A seasoned human right activist with enthralling literary prowess. His literary voice, linguistic mastery and magical pen that scribbles nice words rightly reminded of the young Achebe and Soyinka of the 1960s. I must confess, it’s really a panoramic tour for my Bro in the realm of literature. A panoply of magical and deft manipulation of literary imageries, carefully nurtured in the presence of an articulate appearance. What a quite promising attorney with his unequalled literary showpiece and a fight-to-finish artistic might and gallantry. He writes with a quill naturally imbued with ink by the supreme being.
In fact, This is really an unparalleled achievement from an optimistically and intellectual young chap and jurist who is just coming to make the sky his stepping stone in few years to come. An accomplished academic breakthrough and a dramatic break-even with awesome dexterity in allaying academics fears.
Most times, I do look forward to every online posts of my brother just like a follower of this popular American fantasy drama television series created by David Benioff and D.B Weiss, titled “The Game of Thrones” who is waiting anxiously to know what will happen in the next episode of this series. This scenario is akin to mine, when I am always eager to see any online posts of bro, just because I know when I read them, I have new vocabularies and ideologies to learn. Honestly, just because of some of his posts and write-ups, many grammatical errors and avoidable mistakes I often make, and the words and its spellings that seem to be correct in my sight instantly took to their heels and they really make feel like those living like kings and queens when I read them. I must say a big thank you for this, because you rekindles my spirit when it was seriously ebbing out. Now, I look at myself and the literacy skills I have acquired so far, Bro. Funso must not be forgotten in a jiffy because forgetting him is just like you are biting the fingers that pointed out the true being and the inborn qualities in you. He is the source of inspiration to me. Although, all inspiration and encouragement came from God whom is our creator. To him, all the glory, honour, thanksgiving, adoration, dominion, power and might be unto him forever and ever.

STRONG CONVICTIONS
Attorney Bakare, the Founder and the CEO of the Mohammed F. Bakare, SAN & Co.; Grace of God Chambers, (A subsidiary of the above named company), Hmmm! Why am I dreaming big big things for my brother? God is our pillar. He brings things into fruition even the ones you asked for and the ones you didn’t asked for. He works in mysterious ways. But sometimes, when things does not seems to be rosy at all, who are we to question Him, He knows the right time for us and prepares it ahead of us. His time is always the best, yea, the best ever. I know in the next few years my bro will own his chambers and many law firms. I know we are not sufficient of ourselves, our sufficiency is of God. In fact, things surpassed what my mouth, tongue and lips could totally express.
Ehen!, I was initially talking about his convictions. To be candid, he has various convictions one must surely emulate, they were carefully emanated from a deep sense. A quintessential of it is a maxim I got from bro in the summer of 2013 on his Facebook profile, but then, it wasn’t easily digestible for me although, it wasn’t actually voluminous, perhaps I was naive, ignorant and dead to some bare facts I need to know in order for me to completely digest the maxim as my thoughts never rhymed with the reality. I should reiterate it here. The maxim goes thus:
“It is good to die on truth at a tender age and be remembered for 100 years than to live a life full of lies and deceit and live for 100 years”.
An average person can completely smell and digest the maxim my elder brother coined.
Around the early of this year, I had the treasured privilege to come across it again for the umpteenth time. But now, completely digesting it wasn’t that daunting, because this wasn’t how I was then, I have grown into a man, ” Na small small person dey become man” I mumbled to myself. As I was glued to my sofa arm chair, ruminating on what I had read for hours but I was fully able to come up with something plausible after I reached the climax of a full contemplation. I was enormously glad to have my surmise confirmed as there was a needlessness for further elucidation and elaboration.
“How I wish all lawyers could always bear this mind, of course, the nation’s juridical system will be more vibrant as this will rescinds all laws that are of detriment to the poor and the less-privileged and will recognize and reinforce the equality of all citizens before the law”. I added. This contradicted the opinion of the bandwagon that says a lawyer must lie in order to make a perfect alibi in order to vindicate his/her client in the court of law.
Barr. Funso, a patriotic Nigerian and a law-abiding citizen who fervidly believes in a better and corruption free Nigeria, and whose passion and love for his dear country can’t be over emphasized, and loathes all forms of indiscipline, injustice and lawlessness, I am cocksure he must have had his nations judicial system in mind when he actually said this.

GOOD LOOKS
Mr. Bakare is a dark-complexioned, averagely tall, with sparse beards and moustaches, handsome and a good looking young man in his late twenties. This good looks, Yea!, It is not our fault oo, Truth to God(Touching my tongue with my finger and pointing it to heaven), it’s not. The good looks traits that flows in the family gene should be queried for this. When this man is completely dressed on a normal day, in fact, he could have been every woman’s dream on that day. Hey girl, don’t send me private messages asking me for my brother’s contact details. Because I know you people well, you will start doing that, so, it’s better to proffer you a warning beforehand! LOL, just on a lighter mood, it’s to achieve the desired effect. He is just too dope. Especially when he is decked in his legal wears, you just need to see him. Let me keep my mouth shut, well-nourushed eyes with a good sight can precisely ascertain it and attest to it on sighting him. And yes, I do envy him a lot, one must envy good things with sincerity.

Whenever we meet each other in Osogbo at times, especially during most festive periods. I am always engrossed on an absorbing, cosy and crisp conversation with him, which we would discussed some crucial issues concerning our academics pursuits. Talk about fine philosophies of life and ideologies of humanity which can solve manifold problems of mankind. Giving me various advice and therefore pointing out the unforseen contingencies that are oblivious to me, and suggesting some draconian measures to arrest the situation. He brings his past experiences to board also with which he will use to explain certain things to me. He has been so elderly in his advice and our relationship have been quite cordial. I must confess this, he has a wealth of experiences one can indeed learn from. Is it from his academic motivations or his wider real world experiences? just name it. Oh, he is just an awesome bro. I know I still need some time to demystify his awesomeness, if I write it here, the question is that, will time and space permit me to do this? Will Naijastories truncate my text or not? Of course, they will. In fact, trillions of text characters won’t be enough for me to accomplish this. Wait! is this a flattery? Oh no, it isn’t. he really worth it.

I do tell a lot of people that if they are yet to know my brother, he/she has not known a good person and a legal figure yet.
His timeline on Facebook is worth thousands of libraries and housed various posts and news that rhymed with realities. Above all, My big bro, thanks for your various enlightenments. You made look like I have read all about Law all my life and as if I’m current with the state of affairs of the nation. So when I speak of them, people don’t wonder whether my big head is actually for decoration.
God bless you, my brother of enormous ebullience and eminence.
