Arrest Nnamdi Kanu within 21 days or face national protest - Abia lawmakers tell FG


Some members of the Abia state House of Assembly have issued a 21-day ultimatum for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu - The lawmakers reportedly argued that arresting Kanu would help the country stave off a civil war - The threaten that there would be nation-wide protest if the government failed to do this The federal government has been issued a 21-day ultimatum by members of the Abia state House of Assembly for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu.
Abia Breaking News reports that the members of the House, predominantly from the All Progressives Congress (APC) asked the government to arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra or face national protest after the expiration of the ultimatum. The legislators, who reportedly addressed journalists in Abuja, accused Kanu of wanting to plunge the country into another civil war. The allegedly added that the IPOB leader breached all his bail conditions and was putting the country’s peace and security in danger. The media briefing, which had in attendance the Speaker of Jigawa State House of Assembly, Mr Idris Garba, was presided over by a member of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Kassim Muhammed. “We are giving the federal government a 21-day ultimatum to arrest the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu or we shall mobilise Nigerians against his treacherous menace. “We will not sit on the fence and watch the actions of one man plunge our country into an avoidable civil war. Enough is enough. We have had enough. “We therefore give the Federal Government this ultimatum to re-arrest Kanu who has breached all his bail conditions and is jeopardising the peace and security of this country.
